Film Crew/Wet Heat Double Feature
Directed by Chris Seaver
Splatter Rampage

What we have here is a double shot of madness from Chris Seaver. Both films show Low Budget Pictures becoming a bite more slick whole still staying completely ridiculous. If you enjoy the absurdity of Chris Seaver films, this collects two of his latest and greatest films of one little convenient shiny disc.

Film Crew is a hilarious cinematic oddity that takes place in a movie theater. During a midnight screening of Toxic Avenger 4 a new employee, who is obviously short a few cards in his deck, is working his first shift in the theater. At its core the film is something of a slasher film minus the whodunit aspect of the genre. The gore isnt all that frequent but it is hilariously well done. The killer playing Another One Bites the Dust on a ripped out vocal chord is simply brilliant.

There is actually a surprising depth to the movie. It is of course absolutely ridiculous and exactly what you would expect from a Chris Seaver film, but with a bit more weight to the story. The video quality is quite good and the acting is perfect for what the film is trying to do. This is tongue in cheek entertainment and the cast definitely has good comedic timing. Wet Heat is something of an action flick starring the one and only Teenape. Teenape is busted due to his perverted tendencies but instead of prison he is offered the chance to find the president of show business who has gone missing. There is definitely a bit of an homage to Escape from New York at work here, just much more ridiculous. Throw in a few hints of The Terminator and over the top action and you have the makings of a classic Low Budget Pictures film.

Hands down this is the best looking film yet from Chris Seaver. The picture is sharper and the aspect ratio gives it a very cinematic look. Despite the sharper look this is still classic Chris Seaver through and through. The film is right in line with Teenape Goes to Camp, meaning it looks slick and it incredibly funny.

If you are a fan of Low Budget Pictures, Film Crew and Wet Heat are two of the best films yet from the crew. Prepare to laugh, be grossed out and feel the pain in your testicles that only a Chris Seaver film can bring.
