Canon ImageClass D680 - Feel Good About What You Print
The Canon ImageClass D680 printer uses D680 Toner Cartridges and combines three machines into one. Canon is known for its world class copying but the Canon ImageClass D680 printer also provides you with high quality printing and fax machine functions. The laser printer and copier use Canon's advanced printing technology and single cartridge system. The laser resolution is 600 x 600 dots per inch. The single cartridge system includes the drum, toner and development unit all in one easy to replace cartridge.
The printing and copying speed I quite fast producing 13 copies per minute when printing on A4 paper and 1- copies per minute printing on legal paper. There is a multi purpose tray that can hold up to 100 sheets of paper and the standard input tray can hold up to 500 pages. The copier has an automated document feeder useful for copying documents that are several pages long.
It is possible to connect to your computer or network using a parallel port or USB interface connection. You also have the option of adding on the Axis 1610 Network Adapter. It will run on any system that is Windows 95 or later or Windows NT 4.0. A CAPT printer drive comes with the printer. The Canon ImageClass D680 printer is covered by a three year limited warranty in which certain terms and restrictions apply. There is also a one-year on site service warranty.
The copier has some excellent functions most notably the enlargement and reduction functions thanks to the D680 Toner Cartridges. The zoom function can enlarge any document using 1% increments up to a maximum of 200%. It is also possible to reduce documents up to 80%. The machine already has preset reduction and enlargement options but you can also customize your own.
Your Canon ImageClass D680 printer will be ready to go each morning in just under 13 seconds. You no longer need to turn the printer on and go do another task while waiting for it to warm up. Once it has been used there is a 1 second warm up time for all following documents. The memory in the printer is 2 MB and the copier has 6 MB or memory. You can also get the most from your cartridge by operating the machine on toner saving mode. The machine is energy efficient and meets all specifications required by Energy Star.
The fax machine is quite quick with a storage capacity of 255 pages. It can also print a page in less than 3 seconds making it very quick. There are a few different receivers available including manual, DRDP, fax/telephone switch, answering machine or fax only.
The ultra fine resolution mode will print faxes at a high resolution of 406 x 392 dpi. Other additional functions include activity reports, polling receptions, sub address sending, delayed transmission and memory back up to name but a few.
The Canon ImageClass D680 printer is an excellent choice for those that are looking to save money and reduce their energy consumption. It uses a single Canon ImageClass D680 Printer Toner system that contains a toner drum and development unit. It can operate on toner saving mode as was made according to the latest energy guidelines. This machine will be able to handle any of your business, printing, faxing and copying.
