Frequently Asked Questions...
Can I play rock band drums without the cymbal kit?
I clearly don't have a drum kit for Rock Band yet, 'cause if I did I'd know this, but what is the point of the
cymbal kit? Can you play without it? I'd assume yes because it's a whole different thing.
Ok, but on top of that, if you don't have symbols, does it know that, and make the extra colors not used? Or are the symbol colors the same of some of the colors on the drum without the cymbals?
Answer:
Yes, you can play without the cymbal kit.
In Rock Band or Rock Band 2, you just have choice of hitting the pad or the cymbal; it doesn't matter which. There's a green, yellow and blue cymbal, matching the green, yellow and blue pads.
In Rock Band 3, you can play "pro mode" where you have to hit the cymbal or the pad at the right time but in regular mode it's like RB/RB2.

Patty Griffin 1000 Kisses Rock Music CD Review
1000 Kisses is the latest Rock CD released by the very talented Patty Griffin who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I’m confident Patty Griffin fans, and Rock fans alike will be pleased with this one.
Unfortunately, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with 1000 Kisses. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.
One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and you’ve got one of Patty Griffin’s most impressive releases ever.
Overall 1000 Kisses is a solid release. Quite possibly Patty Griffin's best to date. Really sensational from beginning to end. If you're even mildly into Rock music you'll enjoy this CD.
While this entire CD is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 3 - Stolen Car, track 6 - Long Road, and track 10 - Reprise.
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - Rain. Good stuff!
